Carol Timson Ball grew up in Leicester, England.
Her family’s influence in the printing business encouraged her to go into Graphic Design as a career.
She received a well rounded art education at Loughborough College of Art & Design.
Subjects included life drawing, photography, typhographic design, layout, printing, hand drawn lettering, etc.
During college and afterwards she had a silkscreen business partnership producing posters for the rock bands appearing at
Universities and Colleges around England. This led to printing promotional posters for bands with the EMI Record Company.
Moving to Southern California in the late 1970’s she continued her career in graphic design.
Carol did her first pastel paintings in 1993. Since moving to the Central Coast in 2001 she has added plein air painting
to her art experience.
In January 2009 Carol became one of the Twenty founding artists (As a juried apprentice, now Artist Associate)
of ‘Studios on the Park’, a non-profit organisation with Artists’ Workshop Studios.
Being an ‘Artist Associate’ at ‘Studios on the Park’ in Paso Robles for the last four years has been
an invaluable ‘Art’ experience.
